ST. PAUL, Minn. - Jason Zucker is showing why Minnesota Wild coach Mike Yeo was so excited about his teams depth this season.Zucker scored two goals, and Minnesota routed the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-2 on Saturday night.Zach Parise and Marco Scandella both had a goal and an assist, and 13 Wild players had at least one point.Thats huge. We know were a deep team, said Zucker, who usually skates on the fourth line. Were four lines deep, and tonight kind of shows that. Every guy is really buying into the system and playing hard, and thats really what matters.Minnesota tied a team record with four goals on eight shots in the first period, capped by Zucker spinning around along the boards and firing the puck past goalie Evgeni Nabokov at 17:15.Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper pulled Nabokov, who has 16 career wins against Minnesota, and replaced him with Ben Bishop after Zuckers goal.Bishop allowed three goals for the third time this season.Would those guys say they couldve had a better game tonight? Maybe, but if youre not going to be at your best, do it all in the same game, Cooper said.Scandella, Mikko Koviu and Erik Haula all scored their first goals of the season in the first period. A different line was on the ice for each of Minnesotas opening-frame goals.Through six games, 11 Wild players have scored goals, led by Zucker with four.I think right now we have four lines that really can generate, said Thomas Vanek, who had two assists. I think if you have a team like that, it showed tonight, but once you get to Game 50 and 60, I think thats when its important, the depth that we have.Parise and Jared Spurgeon scored to give Minnesota a 6-1 lead midway through the second. Zuckers second goal was a short-handed tally late in the third.Anton Stralman scored for Tampa Bay to briefly make it 2-1 in the first. It was the first home goal allowed by the Wild and goalie Darcy Kuemper this season, a span of 131 minutes, 4 seconds.Nikita Kucherov scored his first of the season late in the second when he tipped in a shot from Stralman. The Lightning, who played in Winnipeg on Friday, went 3-2 on their five-game road trip, but lost five regulars to injury along the way.Brett Connolly, J.T. Brown, Ryan Callahan and Alex Killorn are all day-to-day. Victor Hedman is out 4-to-6 weeks with a fractured finger. You cant be tired. This is the ninth game of the year. Thats a tough one, centre Brian Boyle said. When its that lopsided you can try and make any excuse you want, but we obviously didnt do nearly enough good things, and thats disappointing. The one area Minnesota will look to improve on is its power play. The Wild were 0 for 1 with the advantage and are 0 for 20 this season. But as long as they keep getting contributions from a wide range of players, the power play should come around.More scoring, more depth you get, more dangerous youre going to be, Koivu said.NOTES: The Lightning recalled forwards Mike Blunden and Jonathan Marchessault from AHL Syracuse to replace Brown (upper body) and Connolly (lower body), who were injured in Fridays win over Winnipeg. ... Minnesota defencemen Keith Ballard and Christian Folin missed their second straight game because of flu-like symptoms. Kiko Alonso Jersey . "Im going to send Webbie a six-pack (of beer) tonight," she said. Webb wasnt sure that would help. "Ill probably drink one and go to sleep," the Australian veteran said. The two players set up a Sunday showdown between former HSBC champions after finishing off their third rounds with identical birdies over three of the last five holes Saturday to separate themselves slightly from the rest of the crowded leaderboard. Joe Federspiel Jersey . Toronto FC hosts the three-time Italian league champions in a friendly Aug. 7 at BMO Field, a game that Roma CEO Italo Zanzi said falls within a key part of their pre-season. http://www.customsaintsjersey.com/custom-terron-armstead-jersey-large-2072e.html. Inter moved five points behind fourth-place Fiorentina and eight points behind third-place Napoli, which visits relegation-threatened Sassuolo on Sunday. Morten Andersen Jersey . Chris Heisey followed with a two-run triple and Billy Hamilton added an RBI double, all but sealing Cincinnatis fourth straight victory and seventh in eight games. Brandon Phillips, celebrating his 33rd birthday, hit a go-ahead homer in the ninth for the Reds before pinch-hitter Buster Posey tied it with an RBI double off hard-throwing closer Aroldis Chapman in the bottom half. Alvin Kamara Jersey . A receiver doesnt make the catch on a passing play and instantly motions to the ref – and everybody else – for a pass interference flag. DETROIT -- Chris Archer is making a concerted effort to become a better fielder on the mound, working with strength coach Kevin Barr on drills that can help him improve. "Moving my feet and fielding groundballs, and he stands like 10 feet away," Archer said. "Hes throwing them pretty hard, so Im prepared for it." Archers efforts paid off Saturday, when he made two terrific defensive plays as part of the Tampa Bay Rays 7-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers. In the sixth inning, he snagged a comebacker by J.D. Martinez and threw to first for the out, and in the eighth, Archer fell to the ground while backhanding Austin Jacksons line drive up the middle. "That ball hit him right in the glove. That was Jackson, I believe," Rays manager Joe Maddon said. "He has no idea how he caught that. Thats a play when the ball catches you." The Rays broke the game open with three runs in the fifth inning and four in the sixth, and the Tigers never mounted much of a rally against Archer (5-5). The 25-year-old right-hander allowed solo homers to Alex Avila in the seventh and Martinez in the ninth. Archer called it his best performance of the season. Maddon finally pulled him with two on and one out in the ninth after 106 pitches. He allowed six hits, walked four and struck out four, falling just short of his third career complete game. "There was 25 outs that I did get, and those are the ones that Im going to focus on," Archer said. Anibal Sanchez (5-3) took a no-hitter into the fifth, but things unraveled quickly for the Detroit right-hander. He allowed seven runs and six hits in 5 2-3 innings, with four walks and a strikeout. "I dont know when everything changed," Sanchez said. "I know we had a pretty good game plan going for four innings." Logan Forsythe homered for Tampa Bay. Kevin Kiermaier had three hitts for Tampa Bay, including triples in the fifth and sixth.ddddddddddddThe Rays have won seven of eight. The Tigers were without designated hitter Victor Martinez, who left Friday nights game because of back irritation. Sanchez didnt allow a hit until Forsythes drive carried over the fence in left-centre field with one out in the fifth. The Rays poured it on after that. After a walk to Ryan Hanigan, Kiermaiers drive bounced off the wall and past J.D. Martinez in right, enabling Hanigan to score. With the infield in, Desmond Jennings lined a single to make it 3-0. "I really like the way were swinging the bats right now," Kiermaier said. "Everyones doing their part, and were all staying positive and were having so much fun out there on the field." Matt Joyce and Evan Longoria singled to start the sixth, and after a walk to James Loney loaded the bases, Brandon Guyer brought another run home with a sacrifice fly. Forsythes RBI single made it 5-0, and Kiermaiers two-out, two-run triple off reliever Phil Coke capped the rally. Kiermaier came into the game in an 0-for-15 slump. "The thing I love about him is if he has a somewhat bad day at the plate, it never carries to the next day," Maddon said. "He doesnt carry an at-bat to the other at-bat. Its all a new experience. Every time he goes up there, its a new experience for him." Sanchez, the American League ERA champion last season, had gone 32 starts without allowing more than four earned runs. Archer allowed a homer, a single and a walk in the ninth, so Maddon brought in Grant Balfour, who struck out the final two batters in a non-save situation. NOTES: Detroit reliever Patrick McCoy left the game in the ninth with a right hamstring strain. ... Detroit RHP Rick Porcello (11-4) faces Tampa Bay ace David Price (7-7) on Sunday night. ' ' '
